1. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account info: email address, display name, handle, and optional profile details (pronouns, timezone, date of birth).
• Session data: focus round start/end times, task descriptions, mood entries, and pal care actions. This is the core of the app experience.
• Usage data: basic analytics like page views and feature usage to help us improve the product. We do not track you across other sites.
• Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Provide and maintain the PomoPeople service (timers, mood rooms, pal care, group sessions).
• Calculate your points, pal stats, and unlocks.
• Send you essential transactional emails (password resets, billing receipts).
• Improve the product based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not share your individual session data or mood entries with third parties except as required by law or to provide the service (e.g., our database and hosting providers).

3. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information from our active systems within 30 days. Some anonymized aggregate data may be retained for analytics and billing record-keeping.

4. Cookies & tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We use a minimal analytics tool to understand product usage. You can block analytics cookies in your browser; the core app will still function.

5. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can edit or delete much of your data directly in the app. For other requests, contact us at the email below.

6. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is limited to the minimum number of people necessary to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

7. Children

PomoPeople is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
